Head of Operations (Remote)

Pressed Floral is a bespoke floral preservation company based in that preserves life's special moments through fine art. This role requires you to be located in Utah and be able to work in person from our Orem, Utah office. Out of state and remote applications will not be considered.

Pressed Floral is looking for an experienced operations leader to oversee and strengthen every aspect of our operations. This role ensures our Production Teams, Client Care department, and General Managers are equipped to deliver exceptional quality, operational efficiency, and an outstanding employee and customer experience as we continue to grow.

In this role, you'll own day-to-day operational performance across our locations including production, inventory, staffing & workforce planning, quality control, and operational systems. This position will require periodic travel to our Atlanta, Georgia location to support leadership development, operational consistency, team culture, and future growth initiatives.

Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement where team members are engaged, supported, and excited to stay long-term

Set clear expectations, healthy KPIs, and measurable goals that encourage both performance and sustainability

Work closely with HR on hiring, onboarding, leadership development, performance management, and retention

Operations & Production

Own company-wide operational performance across all production locations

Ensure production quality, efficiency, turnaround times, and profitability consistently meet company standards

Lead implementation of operational improvements and cross-functional initiatives

Inventory & Supply Chain

Own inventory planning and purchasing, including our MRP platform

Forecast inventory needs based on sales trends and seasonality

Maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing waste

Build scalable inventory systems across multiple locations

Workforce Planning

Develop production team hiring plans based on seasonal demand and projected growth

Monitor production efficiency, labor utilization, quality, inventory performance, and profitability

Collaborate with finance to develop and manage operational budgets

Identify margin improvement opportunities without compromising quality

Quality & Continuous Improvement

Ensure consistent product quality across every location

Travel regularly to our Atlanta, Georgia location to support leadership, training, operational consistency, and team development

Ensure every location reflects the same quality, culture, and client experience that defines Pressed Floral

Success in this role means continuing to build our operations organization and strengthening our ability to scale without sacrificing quality or culture. You will build strong leaders, retain exceptional team members, develop efficient systems, and maintain world-class product quality while proactively managing inventory and staffing.

3-5 years experience leading multi-location operations; ideally in production, manufacturing or a similar operations management role

Experience managing operations P&L, inventory/MRP systems, and workforce planning

Comfortable working with & analyzing operations data to monitor performance, set and track KPIs

Experience directly managing and developing other managers

Comfortable with regular travel
