Engineering Specialist Inc - Human Resources Manager - Milwaukee, WI
Engineering Specialists is a mid‑size, leading industrial automation company dedicated to developing innovative solutions for our customers. We believe our people are our most valuable asset, and we are looking for a dedicated HR leader to foster a productive, positive work environment.

Lead all aspects of our HR department, including hiring and onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, and compliance with labor laws. Talent Acquisition
Develops strategies to effectively recruit and hire for talent needed to support business objectives.
Maintains social media presence to assist in recruitment efforts.
Partners with local colleges, universities and recruiting firms to access additional pipelines of candidates.
Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
Leads all compliance reporting requirements such as non‑discrimination testing, OSHA 300, EEO-1, 5500 reporting, etc.
Employee Relations
Advises/coaches managers regarding employee relations matters.
Conducts employee surveys to gauge engagement and opportunities to improve the work environment.
Champions employee engagement and retention strategies.
Performance Management
Develops and manages a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
Coaches managers on effective employee development strategies to drive performance.
Manages annual merit increase cycle.
Manages relationships with benefit providers to ensure programs meet needs of organization.
Two year degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
7+ years of progressive HR experience with 3+ years in a supervisory role.
Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
Previous payroll processing responsibilities.
Proficiency with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) as a systems administrator and Microsoft Office Suite.
HR Certification (SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR).
Previous experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
