You'll be instrumental in providing a range of treatments from breathing techniques and nebulizer treatments to ventilator management, oxygen therapies, and external ventilation support. Your dedication to patient well-being and exceptional problem-solving abilities will drive success in this vital role.Interviews patient and family members to obtain information about home environment, family relationships, health and psychosocial history.Reads prescriptions, reviews patient information, and assesses patient condition, to administer respiratory therapy.Observes, inspects and tests respiratory therapy equipment.Cleans, disinfects, and sterilizes equipment.Sets up and operates devices such as mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators.Required:Associates Degree in Respiratory TherapyRegistered Respiratory TherapistOregon Respiratory Care LicenseAHA BLS within 30 daysACLS within 60 daysPALS within 60 daysNRP within 60 daysPreferred:Bachelors Degree in Respiratory TherapyAt CHI Mercy Health, you'll discover a place where your professional growth is deeply valued within a truly supportive and rewarding environment.
