CNC MACHINIST - Evenings

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated provides enabling technologies for industrial growth markets that require advanced technology and high reliability. These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.

Perform programming and machinery set up with minimum assistance, except on the most complex work and/or where exceptionally close tolerances are required. Exercise considerable care of equipment, tools, parts, machines, and materials to prevent damage.

Compute accurate mathematical dimensions needed to manufacture parts of average complexity. Perform quality machining of various types of materials as needed.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities but may provide technical leadership to lower level CNC/Machinists including carrying out lead responsibilities in accordance with applicable regulations and laws and the organization’s policies and procedures. This includes, but is not limited to training employees, planning, assigning, directing work and resolving technically related work problems.

Vocational or Technical Certificate in related field and at a minium of 5 years of directly related experience

Must have the ability to use various machinist measuring tools

Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma/Kaizen

Knowledge of specific software (design, analysis, ERP…)
