Real Estate Paralegal (full time)

Commercial Real Estate Paralegal Charlotte, NC | Full-Time

A well-established law firm in Charlotte is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join its growing real estate practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal who enjoys managing sophisticated commercial real estate transactions from initial due diligence through closing.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly with attorneys, clients, lenders, title companies, and other parties involved in complex real estate transactions.

Responsibilities

Assist attorneys with commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financing transactions, development matters, and leasing.

Manage transactions from initial due diligence through closing and post-closing.

Review and organize purchase and sale agreements, leases, loan documents, title commitments, surveys, and related transaction documents.

Coordinate title and survey review and assist with resolving title requirements and exceptions.

Prepare and maintain closing checklists and track critical dates and transaction deadlines.

Draft and prepare deeds, affidavits, resolutions, closing statements, organizational documents, and other closing materials.

Coordinate with clients, lenders, title companies, surveyors, opposing counsel, and other transaction parties.

Assist with commercial loan closings and financing documentation.

Organize closing binders and handle post-closing matters, including recording and document distribution.

Maintain organized electronic files and ensure transaction documents are complete and accurate.

Qualifications

Prior paralegal experience supporting a commercial real estate practice .

Experience with commercial real estate closings, title and survey matters, and transactional documentation.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active transactions and deadlines.

Excellent attention to detail and written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with attorneys and other members of the legal team.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document-management systems.

Paralegal certificate or bachelor's degree preferred.
