CNC Machinist / Production / Manufacturing

Job Title: CNC Lathe Set-Up Machinists and Operators Job Description Join our team to machine parts across a variety of materials and sizes using blueprint drawings and GD&T work instructions. Ensure accuracy by checking parts with measuring equipment provided by the tooling department or production lead. Utilize Hwacheon, Kia, Rapido lathes, equipped with bar feeders, live tooling, and sub-controls, managed through Mitsubishi Control systems. Proficiency in 3-5 axis lathes is essential, with the ability to set up 2-3 times per day, or up to 5 depending on parts, and troubleshoot machines effectively.

Machine parts using blueprint drawings and GD&T work instructions.

Check parts with measuring equipment provided by the tooling department or production lead.

Operate Hwacheon, Kia, and Rapido lathes with bar feeders, live tooling, and sub-controls.

Set up 2-3 times per day, or up to 5 depending on parts.

3-5 years of experience in CNC lathe operations.

• Proficiency with CNC, Lathe, GD&T, Hwacheon, Kia, Rapido, Fanuc controls, and Mitsubishi Control.
• Basic computer and electronics knowledge.
• Mechanical ability and conceptual skills.
• Functional and technical skills for process improvement.
• Experience with brass, stainless steel, and plastics.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Work Environment The work environment is characterized by exposure to moving mechanical parts, with a moderate noise level. Employees are required to adhere to a manufacturing casual dress code, including steel-toed boots. The working hours for Set-Up/Machinists are Monday to Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and for CNC Lathe Operators, the shifts are Monday to Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 3:15 PM to 1:45 AM.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Murrieta, CA.
