Summary We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team and assist with commercial floor care projects. This position will focus on maintaining and restoring floors in schools and other facilities while ensuring a clean, safe, and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities Perform floor stripping, scrubbing, waxing, and refinishing.
Operate floor-care equipment such as auto-scrubbers, buffers, and burnishers.
Complete carpet cleaning and other specialty floor-care projects as needed.
Move and reset furniture and equipment safely during projects.
Follow proper chemical handling, equipment, and safety procedures.
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail.
Work independently and as part of a team to complete projects on schedule.
Communicate with supervisors regarding project progress, concerns, or additional needs.
Schedule Must have a flexible schedule Mon-Fri with some weekends as needed. Mostly second shift.
Qualifications Previous custodial or floor-care experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
Ability to safely operate floor-care equipment.
Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
Ability to lift, move, and carry equipment and furniture as required.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical work for extended periods.
Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively as part of a team.
Requirements Must pass a background check, reliably communite and handle the physical workload. Must be dependable and possess a strong work ethic. Prefer previous cleaning experience. Offers of employment are contingent on a satisfactory background check and confirmation of eligibility to work in the United States.
