o 1 Medical Center Blvd, Winston-Salem, NC 27157
o Level 1 Trauma Designation
o Teaching Hospital: Yes, Academic Medical Center
Unit Information:
o Beds: 40 bed unit
1 year – open to Med/Tele will prefer Oncology
o Hematology and Oncology, Leukemia, Symptom management, Comfort Care/End of Life
o RN: 1:4-5, acuity dependent
EOL care, pain/symptom mgmt., o CNA: Yes, collect vitals, heights/weights, help with ADLs
o Charge nurse: Yes, designated charges on dayshift, fill in charge on nights
o Phlebotomy: Yes, they round at certain times every shift
o IV/VAT Team: Yes, on dayshift
o Resource Nurse: Yes, available via phone call or secure chat
o Hospitalist 24/7: o Intensivist 24/7: o Telemetry monitoring/tech: monitoring via Centralized telemetry unit
RN to verify strips q shift
