Key projects: Managing and triaging incoming commercial legal matters in a shared Frontline workspace
Supporting routine legal processes and assisting with standard commercial matters
Helping Paralegals gather data, analyze legal/compliance factors, and draft recommended guidance
Maintaining, updating, and organizing Legal Self‐Help readiness resources
Contributing to process improvements and efficient matter‐routing workflows
Average: Strong program/project management abilities
An extensive legal background — ideally with experience supporting tech companies or law firms
As a General Legal Assistant, you will be accountable to assist the newly formed MCAPS Global Frontline legal team and business teams on commercial legal issues. A special focus is on collecting information from business groups, analyzing which legal and compliance topics might apply, and providing recommended guidance and solutions for the team's review.
• Familiarity with CRM a plus (but not required)

- Assist and support on routine processes and legal matters
- Escalate complex legal matters to Frontline Paralegals
- Assist Paralegals with collecting information, analyzing and, drafting of recommended guidance/solutions for commercial legal matters
- Keep track and update Legal Self-Help business readiness resources
The General Legal Assistant is required to:
- Have excellent verbal and written skills in English.
- Service/Assistance providing oriented mindset.
- Have project management skills.
- Have the ability to analyze and understand policies and legal documents.
- Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, and the democratic political process.
- Previous experience with computer applications, such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Associate's degree in paralegal studies or equivalent training required.

How will contractor performance be measured?:
Quality of triage and support to clients
Minimum 0/2+ years' experience with legal research tools and document/case management systems (incl. internal compliance platforms).
Minimum 0/2+ years' experience with drafting and reviewing legal documents with accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards.
Minimum 0/2+ years' experience with technical proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management software.
Attorney:
Purpose of the Team: The main function of an Attorney is to research legal precedent, investigating facts, or preparing legal documents. A typical Attorney is responsible for conducting research to support a legal proceeding, formulate a defense or to initiate legal action.
Review of non-immigrant and immigrant visa filings. Require a Law Degree from a credible university and admission to the bar.
- Key projects: S. business immigration operations including petition review, I-9, e-mail response support, and ensuring legal compliance with daily filings.
- S. immigration legal knowledge to ensure daily workflow targets are completed and maintain integrity of the onsite case preparation program.
- Train admins on USCIS filings, USCIS document processing, and PERM job postings, assist with daily admin questions, and review work product to ensure legal accuracy and quality.
- Assist with root cause analysis and resolution for legal and operational issues.
- Identify and propose legal process improvement ideas to increase legal quality, improve employee experience, streamline workflow, and build operational resiliency.
- Complete remote and onsite legal review of filings.
- Address legal questions that arise related to I-9 completion and E-Verify.
- Assist managers with understanding PERM requirements and obligations during applicant review
- Respond to emails from visa dependent employees on topics including visa and green card eligibility, travel, and maintenance of status.
This role provides the opportunity to have broader business immigration experience.
• Unique Selling Points: The team is cutting edge on their operations piece of immigration. Will gain experience in how to manage to that high-volume and how to structure.
Years of Experience Required: 1+ overall years of experience in the field.
- Juris Doctor (JD), a Law Degree from a credible university and admission to the bar degree is required to be eligible for this role.
- Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on ability to work in a fast-paced environment and quality of work.
Minimum 1+ years of experience with Immigration experience (some sort) – Business would be great, but they need to have something even if its family based.
