Prep & Line Cooks Needed

• Everyone in the BOH is a key component to our operation. We do what it takes to help each other out whether that is stocking the line, jumping in if someone is in the weeds, we all have each others' backs and help each other out in order to keep the customers fed.
• Line Cook

Reports to: Kitchen Manager/Assistant Kitchen Manager/Lead Line Cook

Under the direction of the kitchen managers or store managers, the line cook is responsible for the production, set-up, and preparation of all food items in accordance with Goodwood recipes and standards while maintaining a safe, clean, and sanitary work environment.

Prepares and plates all food items to Goodwood recipes and standards.

• Visually inspects all food items coming into and leaving the kitchen.
• Prepares food by methods of frying, sauteing, baking, boiling and other methods as needed.
• Sets up, breaks down and cleans all stations and kitchen.
• Inspect the work area to ensure the equipment is operable and sanitary.
• Adheres to local, state and federal health code and sanitation rules.
• Covers, dates and labels all food to be stored according to all health code rules.
• Ability to utilize all equipment in the kitchen and knowledge of proper cleaning methods as well.
• Prepping, preparing, cooking and expediting food, including a la carte and banquet meals.
• Notifies the proper person of any food shortages or broken equipment.
• Ensure all safety, emergency and sanitation policies are followed and violations are reported to the direct report on duty.
• Help doing dishes and other cleaning tasks when needed or directed by managers.
• Ability to put away the truck deliveries while maintaining correct food hierarchy and FIFO.
• Anything else the Kitchen Manager/Assistant Kitchen Manager/Lead Line Cook needs.
