Trademark Litigation Paralegal

Our attorneys represent clients around the world in trademark-related matters, including intellectual property litigation, U.Patent and Trademark Office proceedings, domain name disputes, trademark policing, clearance, prosecution, portfolio management, trade dress, advertising counseling and false advertising litigation, social media and other online branding issues, and anti-counterfeiting enforcement. We have guided a wide range of extraordinary clients through dynamic shifts in technology and the world economy that have profoundly affected strategies for protecting and enforcing brands and content. The Trademark Litigation Paralegal will assist attorneys in managing trademark litigation cases, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and motion related documents, handling e-discovery, conducting legal research, liaison with vendors, and coordinating case management tasks.
This position will be located in Austin, TX and will be required to be in-office two times per week. The pay range is $75,000 - $115,000 per year. Remote candidates will not be considered at this time.
Manage and maintain litigation and policing client/matter files including official papers.
Prepare complaints, notices of opposition, petitions for cancellation, answers, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, deposition notices, declarations, motion related documents, proposed orders, exhibit appendices, and correspondence.
Assist with document collection processes, including identifying documents responsive to discovery requests, and overseeing document production.
E-file documents in various courts and administrative agencies, including but not limited to all Federal Courts, U.Perform factual and legal cite checking of motions and briefs utilizing key cite checking authorities.
Prepare materials for and assist attorneys with court proceedings including but not limited to hearings, depositions, arbitration, and trial.
Maintain daily timekeeping for billing purposes, entering time records daily.
Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a Litigation Paralegal within a law firm setting, including federal district court civil litigation
Experience with software such as document management, records management, docket management, research tools, and Pacer
Must be flexible, well organized, and able to adapt to change.
75,000 - $115,000 per year (eligible for overtime)
