Temporary Paralegal (Contracts & Royalties)
Location: New York City, NY (Hybrid – blend of remote and in-office)
Duration: 6-Month Contract

In this role, you will be the bridge between our legal agreements and financial executions. Your primary mission is to analyze contract terms to ensure accurate royalty compliance.
Contract Analysis & Review: Examine legal contracts to identify, verify, and confirm specific royalty payment terms and rights.
Data Auditing: Review and audit individual titles and line items utilizing a master tracking system in Microsoft Excel.
Interpret complex "reasons for review," investigate missing data, and execute the required legal or administrative action for outstanding tasks.
Partner closely with the Front Office, Contracts Department, and Royalty Department to ensure seamless communication and follow-through.
Record Management: Maintain meticulous records of your legal findings and actions taken for audit-ready documentation.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required; Experience: Proven experience in contract review with royalties, publishing rights, or intellectual property (IP)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (ability to navigate large data sets, filter, and track statuses).
