Human Resources Assistant – Entry Level

Are you organized, comfortable working on a computer, and interested in building a career in Human Resources? Road & Rail Services is looking for an entry-level HR Assistant who is eager to learn, motivated to grow, and ready to gain valuable hands-on experience in a professional office environment.

We're looking for someone who has strong computer skills, pays attention to details, enjoys staying busy, and is willing to jump in wherever help is needed.

This position will begin with a strong focus on data entry, recordkeeping, and administrative support . As you develop your skills and become comfortable with our processes, you'll have opportunities to learn additional HR responsibilities by working alongside our experienced Human Resources team.

Daily Administrative & Data Entry Responsibilities
Accurately enter, update, and maintain employee information in company systems.
Process and organize HR documents, spreadsheets, and electronic records.
New hire onboarding and employment paperwork.
Perform routine data entry tasks while maintaining speed and attention to detail.
Utilize Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Support the HR team with filing, scanning, document preparation, and other administrative needs.
Recruiting activities and candidate communication.
Internal communications and special projects.
Day-to-day HR operations and administrative processes.
Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate programs quickly and efficiently.
Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Dependable, professional, and willing to help wherever needed.
Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

Previous data entry, customer service, retail, or administrative experience.
No HR degree, previous HR experience, or professional office background is required. We're willing to train someone who brings the right attitude, computer skills, and desire to learn.

Starting pay of $20.00 per hour
