Field Enumerator (Part-time) Location: Primarily Remote (iPad provided) with field travel

Since 1972 NASDA has employed enumerators to collect agricultural data on behalf of the United States Department of Agricultures (USDA) National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS). In order to achieve our goals we need employees who are as passionate about agriculture as we are and willing to put in the hard work. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FIELD ENUMERATOR
As a Field Enumerator you play an important role in supporting agricultural producers by collecting accurate reliable and confidential data used to inform agricultural programs and decision-making.
Interviewing farmers ranchers and agricultural businesses by phone or in person
Conducting crop counts in designated fields when applicable
Recording survey responses mileage expenses and hours worked using an iPad
Some surveys require the use of a personal vehicle and valid Drivers License to drive to local agricultural operators to conduct in-person surveys or crop counts (Mileage is reimbursed).

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FIELD ENUMERATOR

Comfort speaking with people by phone and in person Basic familiarity with technology (iPads data entry email) An interest in agriculture food systems sustainability or rural communities Hours are highly flexible and based on availability Work may occasionally include evenings or weekends Workload may fluctuate depending on agricultural seasons We understand your time is valuable so we have a very quick and easy application process.
