We are the leader in professional hair color, selling and distributing professional beauty supplies across 11 countries through our Sally Beauty and Beauty Systems Group businesses. Sally Beauty offers products for hair color, hair care, nails, and skin care to retail customers looking for salon quality products at a value price. Beauty Systems Group, branded as Cosmo Prof or Armstrong McCall stores, along with its direct sales consultants, sell professionally branded products intended for use and resale by salons to retail consumers. The buyer role is responsible for driving profitable sales for their area of responsibility. The Buyer develops strategic objectives by analyzing market trends, negotiating with vendor brands, and ensuring the right products are available to meet customer demand and maximize profitability. This involves developing assortment plans, vendor negotiations, and managing inventory objectives.

Create and own strong vendor partnerships.

Optimize product mix based on category financial goals and performance.

Work collaboratively with vendor/brand partners to maximize the first-to-market approach of on-trend products and promotions.

Partner with pricing team to ensure optimal performance for sales and margin.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a customer-first approach to product strategy.

Coordinate with planning and allocation to ensure ideal inventory levels.

Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience preferred

3-5 years category management experience in a related field, exhibiting progressive responsibility

This is a hybrid role required to be onsite at the corporate office on specified days. The work environment generally involves everyday risks or discomforts typical of offices and meeting rooms.
