Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (18:30–07:00) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on an acute care surgical and bariatric unit with a 1:7 nurse-to-patient ratio
Perform telemetry monitoring and medical-surgical nursing interventions as required by patient acuity
Float to other units as needed based on census and staffing requirements
Actively participate in nursing student support and clinical education alongside the provision of direct patient care
Complete required orientation modules, including online computer-based learning (CBLs), during the designated orientation period
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing experience
AHA BLS certification required (AHA is the only accepted form; no substitutions)
Must complete Relias EKG testing within 72 hours of signing; two attempts allowed — failure to complete or pass within this timeframe may result in cancellation
Must be available for drug testing within 12–14 calendar days prior to start date, with the possibility of a second lab visit if needed
Facial hair must be trimmed or removed in accordance with CDC guidelines for fit testing
Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in a surgical or bariatric patient care setting
Comfort with floating across units in a fast-paced acute care environment
Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers are also considered
