Production Material Handler to start immediately

Material Handler 1We have an immediate opportunity for a Material Handler 1. In this function you will move material throughout the plant and warehouse manually or by operating electric powered lifts.RESPONSIBILITIESFollows plant safety procedures and guidelinesKnow emergency procedures and what to do in the event of power outages, machine failures, workplace injuries, etc.Wears and utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) as requiredUnderstand and identifies Lock-out/Tag-out proceduresInforms supervisor of safety issues; reports any workplace injury or incident immediatelyActively participates in the D&W safety improvement process/activities, e.g. Hazard Identification, Safety Suggestions, Safety Teams, etc.Move stock and other materials to and from storage and production areas by hand or other equipmentRead work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments, material and equipment needsAbility to hand build pallets per MOAttach identifying labels to containers, and/or mark them with identifying informationSecure material and products for transport to designated areas by using the stretch-wrapper machineAssists other workers with specific tasks as requestedFollow plant quality practices including Good Manufacturing Practices, or GMP'sSupports the Plant's Food Safety initiatives by completing plant required Food Safety training and by implementing / complying with the required practices.More than a job.
