Prep Cook Job Description Position Title: Prep Cook
Location: Chick-fil-A Tampa Stadium
Reports To: Directors / Shift Leader
Job Summary The Prep Cook at Chick-fil-A is responsible for preparing fresh ingredients, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting kitchen operations to ensure high-quality meals are consistently delivered. This role is essential to maintaining the brand’s commitment to excellence in food quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities Prepare and portion food ingredients according to Chick-fil-A recipes and standards
Wash, cut, and store produce and other ingredients properly
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work environment
Follow all food safety and health regulations
Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies
Work collaboratively with kitchen team members to ensure efficient operations
Ensure proper labeling and rotation of food items (FIFO method)
Support kitchen staff during peak hours as needed
Qualifications Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Basic understanding of food safety practices
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
Work Environment Fast-paced kitchen setting
Exposure to hot and cold environments
Requires standing, bending, and repetitive motions
Schedule Flexible scheduling (6:00 -3:00 pm or 3:00 -11:00pm)
