Associate Attorney - Immigration Law

Job Overview A law firm seeks an admitted attorney for an Associate Immigration Attorney position in Phoenix, AZ. This role offers a promising opportunity for career growth within an established firm. The successful candidate will manage their caseload, interact with clients, and collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal assistants.
Duties Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions.
Represent individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
Manage a workload of diverse cases.
Conduct intake with detained individuals at centers.
Prepare immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
Review and adjust immigration application packets.
Collaborate with law enforcement and community organizations on immigration law changes.
Meet with potential clients for strategic consultations.
Develop strategies and prepare clients for court/USCIS testimony.
Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.
Requirements 3-5 years of experience in immigration law.
Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Proven ability to manage a caseload effectively.
Experience with family-based petitions, humanitarian cases, and other USCIS applications.
Familiarity with case management software preferred.
Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
Certifications Admitted to practice law.
Skills Strong legal analysis and strategic planning abilities.
Excellent communication and client interaction skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
