Registered Nurse (RN) - Weekend Night Shift

South Pointe Hospital’s 6 Medical/Surgical Unit is a fast‑paced unit that cares for patients with a variety of medical conditions and diseases, including pneumonia, congestive heart failure, infectious disease, asthma, and COPD exacerbation, and is experienced in ventilator management for chronic ventilator patients. As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care from initial introduction to discharge. You will interact directly with patients, families, and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed. Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well‑Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting, and responding to incidents and providing safety resources.

A caregiver in this position works day/night rotation from 7:00 a.m. - with every other weekend and holiday rotation requirements.

Provide direct nursing care.

Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.

Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.

Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program).

Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).

One‑year of current acute‑care RN experience (military RN experience considered).

Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Personal Protective Equipment

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
