Remote Inpatient Medical Coder

Over 25 years ago, we started Zotec with a clear vision, to partner with physicians to simplify the business of healthcare. We’re seeking a Certified Medical Coder to join us. This is a remote position.

Assign accurate ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and modifier codes based on medical documentation

Ensure compliance with CMS, payer-specific, and regulatory coding guidelines

Maintain productivity and quality standards

Conduct internal coding audits (retrospective and/or concurrent)

Track audit findings and support quality improvement initiatives

Investigate/resolve coding related issues

Review and resolve coding related denials and rejections

Support appeal processes with coding validation and documentation review

Completed ICD10 Certification/Training, preferred

• 2+ years of experience coding Primary Care or Urgent Care coding reports
• Experience working coding denials
• Ability to work on internet-based coding programs
• Thorough knowledge of medical office operations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Work, Outlook and Excel
• High school diploma or equivalent
