Together, we’re improving health and improving lives.LabCorp is seeking a Technologist Trainee to join our team at our facility on RTP, NC.Work Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 2:30pm - 11:00pmJob ResponsibilitiesFollows the laboratory's procedure for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results.Notifies Senior Technologist, Team Lead, Supervisor, Lab Manager or Lab Director of any identification discrepancies and documents action taken.Understands and follows established testing procedures.Understands that all patient information is confidential and complies with HIPAA regulations.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical TechnologyPreferred Qualifications3 months or more of clinical laboratory testing experienceASCP or AMT certificationAdditional Job StandardsIn lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirementsUnderstanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and proceduresAbility to work independently and within a team environmentProficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systemsHigh level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skillsAbility to handle the physical requirements of the positionAble to pass a standardized color blindness testFlexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needsNew Grads Welcome - Full Training ProvidedAt LabCorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives.
