Referral Coordinator - Healthcare

Referral Coordinator Healthcare Addison Group is seeking a detail-oriented Referral Coordinator to support a busy specialty healthcare practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with referral management, insurance verification, or medical office experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced clinical environment and helping patients navigate their care journey.

Communicate with referring providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding referral status.

Work within payer portals to obtain referral and authorization information.

Assist with insurance-related inquiries and verify referral requirements.

Update and maintain information within the EMR system.

Handle occasional outbound calls to patients regarding appointments or referral updates.

Support office operations and administrative initiatives as needed.

Minimum 2 years of experience in referral coordination, medical records, insurance verification, or healthcare administration.

Knowledge of healthcare insurance processes and referral workflows.

Working knowledge of ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding.

Experience with Learning Reach or similar referral management platforms.
