Overview

Work for a rapidly growing aquarium and aviary service company that provides peaceful and engaging environments for residents in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. This entry‑level, part‑time position involves servicing aquariums and aviaries, requiring basic knowledge of hand tools, assembly, and the ability to lift, bend, and move heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain excellent time‑management skills and stay well organized.

Project a professional appearance and communicate effectively with customers.

Explain and promote company products and services.

Prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.

Drive the service cycle for the customer base, responding to calls, emails, and faxes as needed.

Design an efficient work schedule and meet service deadlines.

Manage the transportation and storage of supplies, including 50‑pound bags of bedding and seed and 4–5 27‑gallon totes.

Travel within a 150‑mile radius of Chickasha, OK (Wichita Falls, TX is the furthest at 100 miles).

Comply with safety requirements, such as wearing masks or goggles, when working in long‑term care homes.

Qualifications

Experience in fish keeping and/or bird keeping preferred.

High school education preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.

Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.

Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliable attendance.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to comprehend and follow written and spoken instructions in English.

Driver’s license required; mileage reimbursement paid during travel.

Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting, bending, and maneuvering.

Flexibility in schedule and job responsibilities.

Expected hours: 10–20 hours per month, varying by service needs

Travel: Required within a 150‑mile radius of Chickasha, OK

Mileage reimbursement is paid while driving; hourly wage is not paid during driving.
