Registered Dental Hygienist - Temp ASAP

QUALIFICATIONS Education: Associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene.

Licensure: Current North Carolina Dental Hygienist license (or immediate eligibility).

Certifications: CPR certification required; BLS certification is a plus.

Experience and Training: Preferred clinical experience in a high‑functioning dental office, with a preference for assisted hygiene model; training on an electronic medical record (EPIC) is a major plus, but not necessary; local anesthesia training is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Ability: Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, patient screening, and medical history documentation; excellent verbal and written communication skills; time management; punctuality; positive attitude; professionalism; receptiveness to feedback, performance improvement, and continuous coaching; flexibility to cover other offices within HPU Health.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Perform prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, patient education, and other clinical functions.

Continuously assess the hygiene schedule to ensure optimum patient flow.

Respond to patient, clinical, and operational concerns in a timely and effective manner.

Execute other duties as assigned by the Director of Clinical Operations.

Support practice and organizational goals.

ACCOUNTABILITY Accountable to the Director of Clinical Operations/Practice Manager. Performance is reviewed through ongoing evaluations and an annual assessment by the CDO, incorporating input from faculty and students.
