Maintenance WorkerAs a Maintenance Worker with The Menta Education Group, you will assist the Maintenance Supervisor in ensuring the safety and functionality of all Menta properties.Provide maintenance to Illinois school locations in Springfield, Taylorville, Nokomis, Havana & other Menta Southern/Central Illinois properties as needed. Full-time position w/benefits & paid benefit time off.ResponsibilitiesProvide maintenance to Illinois school locations in Springfield, Havana, Taylorville, and Nokomis, with "as needed" support to Centralia, Marion, Millstadt, and Belleville, IL.Report any unusual incidents or safety concerns to Maintenance SupervisorPerform preventative maintenanceConduct routine scheduled inspections of premises and equipment.Handle basic repairs and maintenanceRespond to work order requestsInstall, repair, and replace valves and other plumbing equipment, and open clogged drains using appropriate tools.Repair or replace electrical wiring, ballast and fixtures.Construct and repair partitions and other wooden structures using saws, braces, bits, and appropriate materials and tools.Paint walls, floors, woodwork, and fixtures using appropriate materials and tools.Qualifications1 to 5 years of experienceMust have valid driver's license with good driving recordEngage in physical, manual laborGeneral experience performing carpentry and drywall repairsAbility to lift 50 poundsFlexibility to schedule and work hours as neededWillingness to travel to school locationsCompensation & BenefitsIn accordance with the Pay Transparency amendment to the Illinois Equal Pay Act of 2003, information about pay ranges and employee benefits can be found at the following links:Full Time Employee Benefits Overview:Our benefits package includes comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance; and a 403(b) retirement plan with an employer match.
