Position: Program Manager

Amphenol's High Speed IO Connectors and OverPass Solutions Business Unit is a market leader in high-speed, high-bandwidth interconnect solutions used in servers, storage, networking equipment, and data center infrastructure. Manage the project and the project team while contributing to the project scope and project objectives as well as assuring all program and project tasks are completed.

Provide communication interface to customer for communication of project status, schedule, requirements, etc.

Manage and provide technical leadership to project teams across multiple sites throughout the execution of product development projects.

Schedule and manage internal team meetings to address necessary action items and keep projects on schedule.

Manage internal and external suppliers for on-time completion of actions.

Timely communication to management for resource requirements to keep projects on schedule.

Define product specifications and project scope to ensure it is in line with market/customer needs and ensure development of the product/process accordingly.

Make sure that projects are in accordance with the financial objectives including creation, review, submission of capital requests, review and submittal of product costing information, and management of project scope creep.

Ensure application of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.

Ensure that capacity planning is performed through the project phases so that supply meets expected NPI demand.

Provide project updates to functional management on a regular basis.

Manage and reduce risks including the development of alternatives using risk reduction tools in order to maintain project objectives and schedules.

Manage innovation/technology development projects.

Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.

+8 years of experience with a track record of successfully managing high-complexity, cross-functional programs and direct customer engagement, related experience and/or training within the connector industry, preferred.

Project Management software.

Spreadsheet software (Excel).

Word Processing software (Word).

Presentation software (PowerPoint).

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various levels of management.

Ability to effectively manage customer communication and expectations.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to communicate and relate with project teams in multiple regions of the world.

Demonstrated ability to operate with minimal supervision and provide updates on project status where issues or problems can be reviewed, discussed, and resolved.
