Head of Technical Programme Management

What to Expect Tesla is seeking a highly motivated and passionate Technical Program Manager to join the Optimus Manufacturing team and manage program execution alongside a team of world-class engineers that are responsible for designing and manufacturing the power electronics that are at the heart of our products.
You will coordinate collaboration between design engineering, manufacturing, quality, construction, and production to ensure our team's goals are aligned with company priorities. You will work to understand the opportunities, challenges, and dependencies of each project, translate scattered information into a concise and complete message, and communicate to every team member. Manage the cross-functional team to ensure successful launches of new manufacturing lines in all Tesla locations. Collaborate with global teams to develop novel and complex automation equipment
Accountable for creating, maintaining & communicating schedules & plans for manufacturing projects including process development, process validation, line design, equipment fabrication, FAT, shipping, SAT, SOP, etc.
Coordinate build milestones with manufacturing engineering, construction, facilities, and production
Track equipment readiness & report effectively on status, blockers & changes
Track project costs & drive cost management improvement
Provide technical leadership and project management skills to identify creative & timely solutions to key program challenges
Identify team priorities & motivate the project team to complete critical tasks
Drive action with internal & cross-functional teams to complete projects within time & resource constraints

3 or more years of experience in a mix of engineering and project management

• Experience in technical program or project management, ideally with multiple delivered projects of medium to large sized capital equipment systems ($1M-$25M+)
• Experience with project management tools (MS Project, JIRA, etc.)
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience

Expected Compensation $112,000 - $288,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
