Maintenance Electrician I- Full time

Miller Electric: The Journey-level Electrician is an electrical craftsman that performs a wide range of skills including installation of complex electrical systems, troubleshooting, repair, demolition, maintenance, layout, cleanup, remodel or other related activities in a safe manner. These activities are safely performed in a variety of settings including construction, existing facilities, roadways, industrial, healthcare, service, commercial, governmental and other facets of the electrical industry. Performs work required for the repair, maintenance, installation, and modernization of electrical systems for buildings, equipment and grounds in compliance with OSHA and Miller safety protocols.
Performs work with a high degree of craftsmanship, with manual and technical competency in compliance of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Locates and determines electrical malfunctions using test equipment and repairs malfunctions by such methods as testing, cleaning and maintenance.
Performs tests on electrical equipment, such as, motors, heaters, and controls for safety and efficiency, using standard test equipment and by observing functions.
Installs light fixtures, wiring, boxes, conduits, panels and other electrical equipment in a safe, neat and workman-like manner.
Knowledge of security and fire alarm systems.
Manual excavation
Lifting 50 pounds (panels, lights, boxes, cable reels, etc.)
Using heavy equipment
Have minimum 14,000 field hours that are documented and verifiable on a commercial or industrial job site and also be confirmed by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW)
High school diploma or equivalent.
Thorough knowledge of the electrical trade, codes and safety.
Requires initiative and ingenuity to analyze a situation and to make frequent technical decisions based on specifications and electrical codes.
