The Team Leader- Janitor Floor Care plans, assigns, and prompts direct laborers assigned to route/area for daily work assignments to be done in accordance with contract requirements. This position also issues supplies and equipment to cleaning crews and inspects completed work for conformance to standards; is responsible for following and training employees in safety standards and guidelines in the proper use of the equipment and other activities; requisitions supplies and equipment from Supervisor; addresses complaints and resolves problems of employees and customers and, refers to supervisor as necessary. Additionally, is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of all floor equipment used to perform the maintenance of all floor surfaces under government contract. Person in this position must also perform essential preventive maintenance on all equipment as outlined in the equipment operator’ manual and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Train employees on safety practices, equipment use, and Custodial SOPs.
Issue and control supplies and equipment; Inspect completed work, perform quality control inspections, and document results in CleanTelligent .
Complete Daily Work Reports and communicate with management and facility representatives.
Operate and perform preventive maintenance on floor care equipment.
Address employee or customer concerns and escalates as needed.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, PPE use, and contract requirements.
High School Diploma or GED required .
One (1) year of commercial custodial or maintenance experience.
Have a valid driver's license and be insurable under Didlake's automobile policy. Access to the work site for this position requires a valid Real ID.
Knowledge of commercial cleaning products, supplies, and floor care equipment.
Ability to safely operate and maintain electrical and battery-powered floor machines.
Ability to direct daily work activities and interact effectively with employees with disabilities.
