Control Panel Assembler / Electrical TechnicianThis role focuses on building and wiring custom industrial control panels used in analyzers and control systems for the oil and gas industry. You will work in a clean, climate-controlled shop environment, interpreting technical drawings and performing precise mechanical and electrical assembly, wiring, and conduit work from start to finish.ResponsibilitiesBuild and assemble industrial control panels from start to finish, following technical specifications and layout drawings.Perform electrical wiring, including point-to-point wiring, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.Read and interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, and layout drawings to guide assembly and wiring tasks.Carry out conduit bending and installation to support panel and system wiring.Ensure all control panel builds meet company and industry quality standards and safety requirements.Inspect and verify work throughout the build process to maintain consistency and reliability.Collaborate with team members to plan work, share information, and complete projects on schedule.Work independently in a shop setting, managing daily tasks and prioritizing work to meet deadlines.Support integration of PLCs and VFDs within control panels as required by project specifications.Essential Skills4–5 years of experience in control panel building or electrical assembly.Strong understanding of wiring schematics and blueprints.Hands-on experience with point-to-point wiring in industrial or commercial applications.Experience with conduit bending and installation.Trade school or Vo-Tech training in electrical or a closely related field.Experience working with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives).Experience in oil and gas or oil field-related companies.Detail-oriented approach with strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.Ability to work independently in a shop environment while maintaining high quality standards.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to interpret complex technical drawings and translate them into accurate builds.Strong problem-solving skills when addressing wiring or assembly issues.Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and share project updates.Reliability and consistency in meeting project timelines and quality expectations.Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work area in a shop environment.Join a stable operation that values craftsmanship, precision, and quality in every control panel build. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with limited overtime expectations, supporting a predictable routine. Work is hands-on and shop-based, focusing on mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, and conduit installation using standard industrial tools and equipment. The environment emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and safety while working around control panels, PLCs, and VFDs.This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tulsa, OK. The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $29.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
