Head of Development & Fundraising

The Nashua Adult Learning Center is seeking an enthusiastic, relationship-driven Development Director to lead and expand our fundraising efforts. This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering children, youth, and adults through education, workforce development, childcare, and community-based programs.

The Development Director will play a key leadership role in securing philanthropic support, cultivating donor relationships, increasing community engagement, and helping sustain and grow programs that change lives every day.

Key Responsibilities Develop and implement annual fundraising strategies and revenue goals.

Cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors, corporate sponsors, foundations, and community partners.

Grow annual giving, major gifts, sponsorships, and special fundraising initiatives.

Plan and lead fundraising events, including ALC's signature annual benefit.

Build meaningful relationships with donors and stakeholders throughout the Greater Nashua community.

Collaborate with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers to advance fundraising priorities.

Track donor activity, analyze fundraising results, and maintain donor records.

Support marketing and communication efforts that highlight ALC's mission and impact.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proven success in fundraising, business development, sales, marketing, or relationship management.

Strong communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, businesses, and community leaders.

Experience with fundraising or donor management software preferred.

Knowledge of the Greater Nashua philanthropic and business community is a plus.

Passion for education, workforce development, and strengthening our community.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (some evening and weekend events required)
