Job Title: Locum Physician - Hematology Oncology Facility and Practice Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Locum Oncology/Hematology Physician to join a well-established team in a reputable free-standing cancer center located in Coos Bay, Oregon. This outpatient setting focuses primarily on timely diagnosis and patient care, with both benign hematology and solid tumor oncology, aiming for quick turnaround for new solid tumor diagnoses.

Job Responsibilities

Function as a member of the clinical patient care team, performing tasks and procedures consistent with the training and licensure of a medical oncologist/hematologist.

Utilize EPIC for electronic medical records.

Manage outpatient care with an average of 10-15 patients per day.

Provide coverage during physician retirements and relocations.

Participate in a call rotation of 1 in 4, including one weekend per month.

Work collaboratively with a team of 3 physicians and 2 advanced practice providers.

Qualifications

Board Certified in both Hematology and Oncology (Required).

Active Oregon medical license (Highly Preferred).

Clean background with no malpractice (Highly Preferred).

CAQH login and password (Required at time of offer).

Meets criteria for Medical Staff or Allied Health Professional membership and privilege.

Verbal confirmation of DEA at name clear (Required).

Self-query NPDB (Required at time of presentation).

License and Certification Requirements

Board Certification in Hematology and Oncology.

Active Oregon medical license.

DEA registration.

NPDB self-query.
