ENGINEERING TECH (MECHANICAL)

Location: Remote (US-remote)
Duration: 12-month Contract
As a Dimensional Engineer on the hardware team, you will support the development and production of state-of-the-art mechanical designs, structures, mechanisms, and sensor integration solutions that will create transformative experiences for Virtual and Augmented Reality users. This role involves working on cutting-edge technologies with a diverse cross-functional team of engineers and scientists pioneering mechanical, electrical, optical, materials, firmware, software, and computer vision solutions. We value individuals who excel in teamwork, can brainstorm innovative ideas, drive concepts into prototypes, and envision how those prototypes could transition into high-volume consumer products.
Lead or contribute to geometry control solutions as part of a team, including 3D dimensional analysis and datum coordination to support functional and manufacturing build strategies.
Lead tolerance analysis and GD&T development efforts with the design team, developing and sharing best practices.
BS in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent experience.

• Experience developing 3D variation simulation analyses using one or more of the following software packages: 5+ years of industry/academic experience.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing techniques (machining, 3D printing, injection molding, etc.).
• 5), tolerance analysis, and associated metrology.
• 5+ years of dimensional engineering experience, specifically with the application of GD&T and development of 3D variation simulation analyses (VisVSA preferred).
• 3+ years working on high-volume products such as consumer tech, automotive, aerospace, consumer appliances, or medical devices.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling (NX preferred).
• Experience creating scripts or algorithms to support measurement data analysis and assembly simulation requirements.
• Knowledge of Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), Gage R&R, and other statistical methods required to support Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
• Experience using Minitab, Quantum XL, JMP, or other statistical software.
