Call: On-call requirement of up to 4 weeknight shifts per month and 2 weekend 12-hour shifts per month.
Ratios: Patient nurse ratios are 1:2.
Weekend requirements: Every other weekend and holiday requirements.
Floating: The traveler will need to float between like units within scope.
Facility details: Type of facility includes Trauma 1 and teaching hospital. Cerner Sorian 1st generation.
Patient care details: Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Staffing includes interdisciplinary support such as respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy.
The unit handles multi-specialty procedures, which include but are not limited to ENT, general surgery, urology, orthopedic surgery, bariatric surgery, and neuro/spine procedures. Nurse responsibilities include managing patient care, monitoring vital signs, and administering medications. Float policy includes floating within the hospital or to an affiliate facility nearby. Return staff policy: must be absent for one year before reapplying.
