Description
American Traveler is seeking a Radiation Therapist with active NY license and ARRT certification for a hospital-based Radiation Oncology department using Varian TrueBeam and 21ix equipment.
Details

• Hospital-based Radiation Oncology department
• 13-week assignment with a schedule of 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Uses Varian TrueBeam and Varian 21ix equipment
• Uses EPIC EMR

Active NY State Radiation Therapist license required (license required if applicable)
ARRT certification required
AHA or RQI certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent experience in radiation therapy
EPIC EMR experience required
Completion of an AMA-approved Radiation Therapy Technology training program
No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information

Administer ionizing radiation and radioactive substances to patients under supervision of a Radiation Oncologist
Accurately enter and maintain patient treatment parameters in the electronic medical record
Interpret computerized treatment plans accurately
Observe patients daily for adverse reactions and report findings promptly to nursing or physician staff
Facilitate complex technical problem solving as needed
Adhere to NYSDOH, ARRT, and ACRO radiation safety protocols
Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties are not eligible
Only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted for flu vaccination; personal or religious declinations are not accepted
