As part of TCEQ Administrative Services, you would help support the logistical and operational structure for TCEQ statewide -- the business foundation for the whole agency. Plan, schedule, and coordinate desktop provisioning implementations and upgrades. Work with vendors and customers to ensure smooth transitions to upgraded systems. Monitor and respond to customer issues and analyze problems to troubleshoot and resolve customer service issues and performance improvement.

Assist with software security planning and implementation.

Experience installing, provisioning, and updating desktop software in an enterprise environment.

Experience with configuring or administering Windows desktop installations and imaging tools.

Experience in providing technical-based customer service.

A bachelor's degree in an information technologies or related field from an accredited college or university plus four (4) years of full-time experience in computer system administration, network administration, or operating systems programming in an open systems environment.

Completion of 15 semester hours in information technologies from an accredited college, plus five (5) years of full-time experience in computer system administration, network administration, or operating systems programming in an open systems environment.

Six (6) years of full-time experience in computer system administration, network administration, or operating systems programming in an open systems environment.

All the above experience options must have included successful completion of two (2) years as a full-time UNIX, LINUX, Novell, or Windows Server Systems Administrator in a multi-platform environment.
