Human Resources and Payroll Generalist

As a Human Resources Coordinator, you will:

Serve in a customer-facing role and provide human resources support in a timely and accurate manner, in compliance with all applicable institutional, UNL, State, and Federal regulations, policies, and guidelines.

Provide departmental human‑resource related support for the UNL Police Department, including moderately complex payroll transactions.

Work closely with employees within the UNL Police Department and functional office staff, delivering a high level of customer service and professionalism in all interactions.

Function under general supervision and utilize technology to provide professional services.

High school diploma plus three (3) years of related payroll or human resources work experience; Associate degree in business or related field plus one (1) year of related payroll or human resources work experience. A willingness and demonstrated ability to learn new hardware and software systems.

Knowledge of payroll and/or human resources terminology and practices.

Experience with SAP or other large integrated finance or human resources system.

Experience with an HRIS, payroll processing, applicant tracking or similar system.
