Specialized Patient Care And Education
Performs and documents assessment of the patient/family (biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, spiritual and environmental); collects and analyzes data from the medical record in order to coordinate patient care.
Directs and/or provides patient care, which may include administering medication, performing procedures and monitoring patient status in accordance with approved nursing practice.
Maintains medical records requiring appropriate and timely recording of patient information.
Consults with members of the health care team, adjusting nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Demonstrates cost-effective work habits by setting priorities and properly managing supplies and equipment.
Assists the health care provider with examinations, procedures, prescription refills and other processes related to direct patient care.
Participates in quality improvement activities to ensure appropriate clinical outcome.
Professional contributions, including presentations, preceptorships/mentorships, committee participation, community service, inclusion on research or professional publications or local, regional or national professional organization leadership roles.

Associate Degree In Nursing Or Diploma In Registered Nursing
Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, Basic Life Support - American Red Cross, Registered Nurse - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Registered Nurse - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
Work Experience:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Current Missouri RN licensure in accordance with Compact Act.
Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).
RN experience, patient education skills, and familiarity with cardiac diagnostic procedures.

64,500.00 - $109,900.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
