Job Description Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Paul House & Health Care Center – Chicago, IL

Paul House & Health Care Center is seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our nursing team. Our CNAs play an essential role in providing quality, resident-centered care and assisting residents with their daily needs while maintaining their comfort, safety, dignity, and independence.
Full-time and part-time opportunities are available across AM and PM shifts.

Responsibilities
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and meals
Provide personal care in a respectful and dignified manner
Answer call lights and respond promptly to resident needs
Assist residents with transfers, repositioning, and mobility
Take and document vital signs and other resident information as assigned
Observe residents and promptly report changes in condition to the nurse
Assist with restorative and rehabilitative care as directed
Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable resident care areas
Maintain resident privacy, dignity, safety, and confidentiality
Complete required documentation accurately and timely
Communicate effectively with residents, families, nursing staff, and other members of the care team
Follow facility policies, infection-control practices, and resident-care procedures
Perform additional resident-care duties as assigned

Qualifications
Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of Illinois
CPR certification or willingness to obtain as required
Compassionate, dependable, and professional approach to resident care
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work effectively in a long-term care environment
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including assisting with resident mobility and transfers
Must meet applicable health and background requirements

Schedule Available 12-hour shifts include:

AM: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

PM: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Full-time and part-time opportunities available
Weekend availability may be required
