CAREGiver - Overnight Care

Seasoned Newborn Care Specialist Needed
Kind first-time parents living in TriBeCa, NY, are in search of a seasoned newborn care specialist to help guide them through this new phase of life. The role will start mid- to late November and last 3 to 6 months. The family is open to a 6-month commitment for the right person. This is a 20-hour-a-day role with a 4-hour break.
Responsibilities

Ensuring the baby's safety, comfort, and overall well-being at all times
Establishing and implementing healthy sleep habits and age-appropriate overnight routines that parents can confidently continue after the contract concludes
Support feeding routines, including breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, and formula supplementation as needed
Maintain a calm, encouraging, and flexible approach to postpartum support
Monitor newborn wellness and communicate any concerns appropriately
Help establish healthy sleep and feeding routines
Collaborate respectfully with parents to support their preferences and parenting style
Ensure all newborn-related areas remain clean, organized, and stocked
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a positive and calm demeanor with glowing references
It is important that the candidate works well with first time parents and understand the difference between guiding and pushing.
Ability and willingness to help where needed
Able to travel
Requirements

Valid U.S. Passport, Green Card, or Employment Authorization Card (EAC)
Current vaccinations, including Flu, RSV, Tdap, and MMR
Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification
Availability to commit to the full contract term
