Registered Nurse - Respiratory Immediate Care

Registered Nurse (RN) Progressive Care / Step Down (IMCU)

Immediate need for a talented Registered Nurse (RN) Progressive Care / Step Down (IMCU). This is a 13 weeks contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Atlanta, GA (Onsite).

Schedule: Day shifts (schedule varies) 36 or 48 hours expected per week (contract options available)

Manage a 1:4 patient ratio in a 16-20 bed medical step down unit.

Monitor and manage patients with complex medical conditions including sepsis, heart failure, respiratory failure, and neurological issues.

Collaborate with intensivists, hospitalists, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams.

Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and discharge planning.

Maintain accurate documentation in EMR (EPIC).

Respond to rapid changes in patient status and escalate care appropriately.

Registered Nurse, RN, Progressive Care, Step Down, IMCU, ACLS, BLS

Active RN License (GA or Compact State)

Minimum 2 years of recent experience in progressive care, step down, IMCU, or similar high acuity setting

Experience in a Level 1 trauma or large hospital setting (preferred)

Ability to work day shifts (schedule varies), 36 or 48 hours guaranteed per week (contract options)

Both local and travel candidates considered local candidates eligible to apply

Strong critical thinking, cardiac monitoring, and drips management skills

Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring

Consistent day shifts with guaranteed 36 or 48 hours per week (your choice)
