Head of Project Management (Construction)

With over $100 million in completed projects, we continue to set the standard for excellence in commercial construction.We’re seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the full life cycle of multiple commercial construction projects. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage Superintendents, Project Coordinators, and Project Accountants while maintaining control over budgets, schedules, quality, and client communication.The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong problem-solving and organizational skills, and takes ownership of both field and administrative performance across all assigned projects. What You’ll Do Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned construction projects, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and safety standards.
Supervise and support Superintendents to ensure efficient site execution and compliance with company expectations.
Collaborate with building owners, architects, and engineers to define project scope and build-out requirements.
Develop and manage detailed construction schedules using Microsoft Project and monitor progress against key milestones.
Coordinate permitting, zoning entitlements, and plan approvals with city and municipal officials.
Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts for accuracy and compliance.
Prepare estimates, budgets, and change orders while tracking financial performance and project costs.
Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships, including contracts, deliverables, and performance expectations.
Conduct site visits to verify progress, resolve field issues, and maintain quality control.
Review and approve monthly billing, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
Oversee completion of punch lists and project closeout activities.
Provide weekly progress updates and owner reports, keeping leadership informed of project status and challenges.
Lead internal project meetings and ensure accountability across Superintendents, Project Coordinators, and Project Accountants.

What You Bring to the Team Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Real Estate, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing commercial construction projects.
Proven experience leading field Superintendents and internal project teams.
Strong knowledge of scheduling, estimating, budgeting, and documentation.
Proficiency in project management software such as RedTeam and Microsoft Project.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with self-storage or metal building construction is a plus.
Willingness to travel for site visits and client meetings.
