PCU RN - Day and Night Shift

Nurses with experience in any of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply: Bariatric, BiPap monitoring, COVID, CVA, Cardiac Drip Management, DKA patients, High acuity patients, Post cardiac intervention, or Sheath pulls.

Qualifications: Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursingActive and unencumbered Registered Nurse license1 year experience in stepdown/progressive, neurology, cardiac, or another medium to high acuity setting preferredBLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart AssociationStrong skills in hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation and other advanced nursing care practicesProficient in electronic medical record systems
Responsibilities: Provide specialized care for patients with medium to high acuity needs, closely monitoring vital signs, IV drips and other key indicatorsAdminister medications and implement complex treatment plans, ensuring that medical orders are carried out accurately and promptlyCollaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient careEducate patients and their families on the management of their acute or chronic conditions, including the proper use of equipment like BiPAP/CPAP/Home Oxygen and vital sign or blood sugar monitorsMaintain timely and accurate patient records, adhering to hospital and departmental policies and regulations
