Video Content Creator I (Freelance)

Glimmr is a fast-growing natural, functional haircare brand. Our multi-benefit, superfood-infused formulas are designed to help women achieve healthier, shinier, and stronger hair. We sell primarily direct-to-consumer, we are one of the top haircare brands on TikTok Shop, and we are launching nationwide at Target. We are a small and fast-moving team with a strong commitment to product quality and brand.

Glimmr is hiring a full-time, in-house Short-Form Video Content Creator and Social Media Manager to lead the creation and growth of our presence on TikTok and Instagram. You will be responsible for ideating, filming, editing, and publishing original short-form video content on a daily basis, and for managing and growing our social media channels and community.

Rather than relying on freelance creators or outside agencies, Glimmr is investing in a single, dedicated team member to serve as the primary on-camera presence for the brand and to own our short-form content from concept to publication. We will provide equipment, content budgets (as needed), and the support of an established marketing and creative team. Your job is to ideate and create content but you will also have a team of designers, video editors, influencer marketers, and photographers behind you to help you create a beautiful social media feed.

As the face and voice of Glimmr on social media, your content will often be the first impression a customer has of the brand. This is a high-visibility, high-output role that brings together on-camera talent, creative judgment, and consistent daily execution. It is best suited to an experienced video creator who is ready to focus their craft on a single brand and build a body of work that drives measurable audience and revenue growth.

This is a content creator and social media role. Customer service, photography, and graphic design are handled by separate teams which you will delegate to, which allows you to dedicate your full attention to producing high-quality video and growing our community.

Serve as the primary on-camera talent for Glimmr, creating hair tutorials, mini vlogs, behind the scenes video, talking-to-camera and voiceover videos, trend-driven content, educational beauty content, and other videos. Think of yourself as a beauty and lifestyle content creator.

Own short-form video production end to end, from concept through filming, editing, and publishing across Instagram Reels and TikTok.

Publish original short-form content on a near-daily basis across isntagram and TikTok.

Create video content to support promotions, campaigns, and new product launches, in collaboration with the marketing manager and creative team.

Grow Glimmr’s TikTok and Instagram accounts, expand reach, and build an engaged community.

Manage day-to-day community engagement, including responding to comments and direct messages.

Maintain the social media content calendar and contribute to the broader marketing calendar in coordination with the marketing manager.

Develop and execute short- and long-term content strategies to grow audience, engagement, and reach.

Monitor content performance and use insights to continuously refine the content strategy.

A natural and engaging on-camera presence and demonstrated, hands-on experience creating short-form video for TikTok and Instagram Reels, supported by a portfolio of work.

Strong video editing skills and a sharp understanding of hooks, pacing, and current trends.

Ability to independently manage the full content process, from concept through publication.

A track record of consistent, high-volume content production.

A strong understanding of how short-form video and social media growth work today.

Experience creating beauty or haircare content, a background as a hair stylist or hair professional, or a genuine personal passion for beauty and hair.

Experience growing a brand or personal social media account from an early stage.

Fully remote. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time, with occasional weekend availability if needed.

Bonus: Performance-based bonus.
