This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the full spectrum of Human Resources functions within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The site specializes in producing high-quality ingredients for cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications, with a strong commitment to sustainability, operational excellence, and employee well-being. The intern will support daily HR operations and contribute to initiatives across employee engagement, compliance, benefits administration, onboarding, and more. This position is ideal for individuals looking to explore the HR field in a collaborative and fast-paced setting.

Serve as the primary contact for employee medical leave, workers’ compensation, administrative leave, and FMLA tracking
Maintain accurate and confidential employee files, records, and documentation
Review and process new hire benefits enrollment, ensuring information is entered into vendor systems and updated in MyHR as needed
Maintain annual benefits summary sheets for both sites
Assist with planning and executing employee events, including benefits enrollment, recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations
Process invoices and assist with financial reporting
Support month-end and year-end reporting for the company HR
Assist with updating company policies, job descriptions, and compliance documentation
Support federal and state compliance reporting, projects, and audits
Coordinate job interview scheduling and support recruitment activities
Assist with maintaining HRIS information in MyHR
Assist with posting HR communications and company announcements
Support corporate initiatives and employee engagement activities
Coordinate with the IT department regarding office equipment needs
Must uphold ethical standards and integrity when handling sensitive confidential information
Proficiency in Google preferred or MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular)
Essential competencies include communication, organizational skills, and the ability to learn HR practices
Understanding HR software, legal aspects of HR, and data analysis can be valuable
Effective written and verbal communication is vital for interacting with employees, HR staff, and stakeholders
Familiarity with HR systems and software is a plus

Education/Training/Certifications
