Are you passionate about student success, fostering a positive school culture, and leading with integrity? Wheeling High School is seeking dedicated, student-focused Dean of Students to join our leadership team!

As Dean of Students , you will play a pivotal role in shaping our school environment by proactively supporting attendance, student discipline, and campus safety. You will collaborate closely with students, staff, families, and community partners to ensure every student has the opportunity to thrive. Partner with the School Resource Officer and campus safety teams to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

Support and guide staff by conducting observations, coaching, and offering leadership in behavior interventions.

Be a visible, positive presence in hallways, common areas, and school events.

Assists in supervising evening and weekend school-related events, specifically all home football games and dances.

Facilitate reentry meetings and serve as a leader in student support initiatives.

Champion equity and inclusion, ensuring all policies and practices reflect our commitment to student success.

Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with General Administrative Endorsement

Knowledge of attendance and behavior procedures under Illinois State School Code

Administrative experience preferred

Bilingual proficiency

LENGTH OF CONTRACT: 195-day assignment

Administrative Salary Grade One - $134,511 - $168,138

• Longevity bonus of 1% for those at the top of the salary range
