Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) for a night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and Trauma Level II hospital experience.
Details

• Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit within a teaching hospital setting
• Trauma Level II facility
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (18:00-6:00)
• 48 hours per week over a 13-week assignment

Requirements
CRT or RRT certification accepted
BLS certification required
ACLS, NIHSS, and Nursys documentation required
License required if applicable
Minimum 2 years of experience required
Teaching hospital experience required
Trauma Level II experience required
Prior travel experience highly preferred
Proficient in ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and IMV
Skilled in airway management including intubation/extubation assist and suctioning
Experience with medication delivery systems including nebulizers and MDIs
Experience caring for patients with ARDS, aspiration, COVID, cystic fibrosis, and fresh tracheostomy
Skilled in arterial blood gas drawing and interpretation
Experience with pulmonary hygiene and tracheostomy care/management
Additional Information
Provide respiratory care including oxygen therapy, chest physiotherapy, and pulmonary hygiene
Perform ventilator management and weaning from mechanical ventilation
Assist with intubation, extubation, and bronchoscopy procedures
Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening, including marijuana testing, with automatic cancellation for positive results
Candidates should avoid substances that could result in a positive drug screen, including CBD products
Local candidates are not accepted
Candidates must reside more than 110 miles from the facility
