System Engineering In

Chesapeake Search Partners has partnered with a fast-growing provider of IT infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity solutions in its search for a Systems Engineer. This individual will help drive the stability, security, and scalability of both on-premises and cloud-based environments while supporting strategic technology initiatives.

Administer and support Windows and Linux server environments to ensure reliability, security, and performance.

Manage core infrastructure services including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and identity management solutions.

Maintain and optimize virtualized environments utilizing VMware and Hyper-V technologies.

Assist with the deployment, administration, and support of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 platforms.

Participate in cloud migration projects and hybrid infrastructure implementations.

Configure and maintain access controls, security policies, and authentication technologies.

Monitor infrastructure health, system capacity, and overall performance while proactively identifying areas for improvement.

Troubleshoot and resolve escalated server, infrastructure, and application-related issues.

Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, standards, and system configurations.

3+ years of experience in Systems Administration, Infrastructure Engineering, or Systems Engineering roles.

• Strong experience supporting Windows Server environments and Active Directory.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies, including VMware and/or Hyper-V.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments and infrastructure modernization efforts.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across server, network, and cloud technologies.
• Relevant Microsoft, VMware, Azure, or infrastructure certifications are a plus.
