Perform blood draws and other specimen collections including urine or fecal samples, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Explain venipuncture and specimen collection procedures clearly and courteously to patients.

Package specimens properly for transport, following protocol to preserve sample quality.

Store specimens at proper temperatures and document maintenance and decontamination activities.

Update patient information in the system accurately and maintain records of specimen collection.

Attend annual departmental training sessions and participate in team activities.

Experience performing blood draws and venipuncture techniques, including use of straight and butterfly needles.

Understanding of safety and regulatory guidelines including OSHA and DEP standards.

Certification or licensure in phlebotomy is preferred.

Prior experience in a clinical laboratory or healthcare environment is preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Availability to work Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm, with every other Saturday from 9:00am to 1:00pm.
